Back-to-School Security Tips…
Back-to-school does not have to mean back-to-worrying. Times have changed from making sure your child has a notebook and pencil, a clean handkerchief and an apple for lunch. Today’s scholars have the latest up to date I pads, laptops, smartphones and head phones. They all cost a tidy penny and losing any one of the items mentioned are not cheap to replace. I would recommend putting a backpack lock on your shopping list this weekend.
Though safety inside school is ultimately the responsibility of the principal and school staff, parents can take a few basic steps to ensure a safe school experience. These are recommended by the National Association for Primary Education.
-Ensure your routes to school are still the best and most accessible routes
-Ensure you know the Emergency Procedures of your School
-Get involved. Talk with the teacher or head teacher about what you can do to increase school safety, such as organizing parents to form a school / neighbourhood watch before and after school. Sometimes parent groups are highly successful in making improvements in traffic safety during drop off and pick up times.

“Security at “Max Capacity” after 40% drop in licence renewals….”

Britain is facing the prospect of a shortage of qualified event security staff following a sharp drop in the number of Security Industry Authority (SIA) licences being reissued.  Industry bodies have called for more support for the private security sector to combat the "diminishing numbers" of qualified personnel in the UK.  Licence renewals have fallen almost 40% since 2013, according to a report published by the United Kingdom Crowd Management Association (UKCMA) – a situation which, if allowed to continue, could have a “dramatic” effect on safety at venues and large events in the UK.  To read this article further, please visit - http://magpie-security.blogspot.co.uk/2017/08/security-at-max-capacity-after-40-drop.html
